Nature Walk: Lake Merritt at the Bird Sanctuary
Hosted by Shirley Jowell, this Chat Walk will take us through the lovely Lakeside Horticultural Center, stopping off at the Japanese garden on our way to the Bird Sanctuary. Fifty different species of birds visit the sanctuary every winter. This is a level walk of approximately 1 mile round trip, and those who wish to extend their walk will have the option to go beyond the Bird Sanctuary. On our way back we will visit the interesting Bonsai Gardens.
We will meet at 10am in front of the Childrens Fairyland
We will have the option of having lunch at Barcheesos across the road from Fairyland.
