Coffee and Conversation, Tuesday, March 8, 11:00-12:00, at the Clipper Club:

END OF LIFE OPTIONS ACT: WHAT DOES IT MEAN?” Joan Bard, RN, a Watergate resident and a member of Emery Bunch will lead an informative discussion to help us  understand the benefits and requirements of this new California law, which became effective on January 1, 2016. There are now a full range of options to relieve suffering: hospice, palliative care and medical aid in dying. While no one likes to contemplate the need for such assistance, just knowing that it exists can be very comforting. That has been the experience of many in Oregon, which has had its Death With Dignity Act since 1997. Join us for this important discussion.

All residents are invited to join us for our presentations, which were planned by the Activities Committee of Emery Bunch. Donations at the events are gratefully accepted to cover the expenses.
