What is this?
Outlandish Holiday White Elephant Gift Exchange
and Excuse to Laugh
WHEN:
Friday, December 16th 2-5 p.m.
WHERE:
home of
Pat Sakai and Dick Shapiro, 100 Eucalyptus Road, Berkeley 94705
How it works:
This will be a potluck, so please bring a yummy finger food item, savory or sweet; drinks also welcome—alcoholic or otherwise.
For the gift exchange, bring a wrapped but un-labeled gift. “Extra points” for items that will bring laughs—including possibly those returning from a previous year’s event. Of course, you can also “re-gift” some truly desirable or lovely item, but one hope is to help with “de-cluttering” rather than going out and making a purchase—though who’s to say a thrift shop special couldn’t do the trick? If you can pull it off, bringing two wrapped items would help, since it is likely someone will come without an offering. Also, this way those who draw a “late number” will have some choices too.
Please r.s.v.p. to Pat Sakai:

Carpooling encouraged as parking is somewhat limited.
Note: bathroom is down two stairs, so not fully accessible.
