Stay Healthy, Stay Connected
a special presentation with Dr. Patrick Arbore
We are living into our 80’s and 90’s and beyond. Dr. Patrick Arbore, Director of the Center for Elderly Suicide Prevention (CESP), will identify practices that will improve our lives given the unpleasant realities that most of us will face:
Our health declines when we don’t address these issues. In addition to learning about the research and health impacts of sustaining connections over one's lifespan, we will learn skills to empower us to stay healthy for as long as possible.
Dr. Arbore directs the CESP and Grief Related Services, a program of the Institute on Aging in San Francisco. He is the author of numerous articles and book chapters on aging-related topics. He occasionally lectures in the School of Social Welfare at the University of California, Berkeley and is an Adjunct Faculty member at The Wright Institute. Dr. Abore received the 2013 Mental Health and Aging Award presented by the American Society on Aging.
