Well, finding a great place for lunch requires two things (in addition to good company): a great lunch place, and some hope of parking. I was hoping that we could satisfy the first requirement at the new 612one on Hollis. But parking there seems dire, so I’m backing off from that destination.
Instead, another new place: Pompette at 1782 Fourth Street – the replacement for the old Café Rouge. Ildy and I tried it out last week, and it’s every bit as good as its predecessor. Parking is tough, but there is at least one off-street lot, and we’ve also been lucky with street parking. There may well be more available parking a street or so east of 4th, but we’ve never found that necessary.
So there you have it:

Please do let me know if you plan on coming, so that I can reserve a table. Best of all, let me know before noon Friday, so I can be sure to reach them in time. As always:

See you there and then!
