Climate Change is the biggest challenge humanity has ever faced. We are often told about problems such as carbon dioxide emissions, coal, waste, and traffic but we rarely hear about the solutions. We have a solution called Carbon Fee and Dividend that would greatly lower emissions without damaging the economy. Citizens' Climate Lobby is a volunteer organization building the political will for this solution in Congress. This presentation will introduce the solution and show how we are empowering American citizens to engage with our democracy and build a livable world for our children.
About the Instructor: Brian Cronin
Brian Cronin is the Outreach Leader of the Alameda County chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby. His focus is primarily on public outreach and building relationships to support efforts to pass climate related legislation nationally as well as locally. He has been working with Citizens' Climate Lobby for 18 months. He is passionate about directly engaging with our democracy and finding pragmatic, bipartisan solutions that benefit all. Brian is also a programmer working in the video game industry. He has worked on a variety of games over the last 15 years. He would some day like to merge his two interests by developing a computer game about climate change. He lives in Berkeley, CA.
