Seeking Board and Arts & Culture (A&C) Committee Members

The Board of Ashby Village accomplishes much of its work through committees and three of those committees—Planning, Finance and Development - are seeking new members. We see many benefits to broadening the pool of folks active in those working committees:

  • Harnessing the talents and interests of members and volunteers
  • Building a leadership pipeline
  • Anticipating Board succession
  • Infusing our efforts with new perspectives and new energy
  • Providing opportunities for meaningful contribution.

If you want to help shape the future of our Village and are ready to share your gifts, talents and time, please review the descriptions below. Contact info@ashbyvillage.org and the appropriate committee chair will reach out to you. Village members and volunteers as well as community members are welcome. (Attendance at a Volunteer Training (within 3 months) will be a requirement of joining any committee.)

Beyond the Board Bonus Opportunity: Arts & Culture (A&C) Team

Ashby Village’s Arts & Culture (A&C) team organizes four events per year featuring a speaker (or speakers) as well as any audio-visual material the speaker wishes to include. We usually have 100-200 attendees to each of these events. The team members are present at each event to assist with set up, sign in, seating, and takedown. Usually one of the team members does a welcome, thank you, housekeeping info, and introduces either the speaker or the person who will be introducing the speaker. We are looking for people who can help us identify future presenters for Arts & Culture events as well as the logistical work preparatory to each event - outreach, securing volunteers, arranging venues.
