Photography Interest Group
Interested in Photography? At the Village-wide Exploring Creativity meetings on Zoom, a number of members expressed interest in joining a photography group. Responding to that interest, creativity organizing committee members Nancy Rubin and Peter Sussman, both of whom became passionate photographers in their later years, will be convening a Zoom meeting at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, for members and volunteers interested in joining a photography interest group -- or groups, depending on the number of people interested and their experience levels. Those interested in joining the meeting should come prepared with suggestions for how they would like the groups to be organized and how members could be most helpful to each other in furthering their skills. Among the possible activities of such groups are critique meetings to share our work with others and hone photographing or editing techniques, sharing of expertise on equipment and software, joint photo shoot outings or challenges, meetings to hear experts discuss aspects of the craft, and, down the line, possible group exhibits. Once the pandemic restrictions are eased, it is hoped that the groups will transition to in-person meetings and projects. Please RSVP to either Nancy (nancyrubin17@gmail.com) or Peter (peter@psussman.com) and indicate in your email the level of your photography experience (from novice to accomplished) and details of your past photographic work, along with your thoughts on activities you'd be especially interested in, all of which will help shape the agenda for the meeting.
