Music Appreciation: Listening Guide to Classical Music

For our classical music lovers – but not only…

Soprano Jumi Kim, designed a course for Ashby Village members interested in classical music that will feature a brief lecture accompanied by a description of the repertoire to be performed by Jumi or other guest artists. Every month she will present a different topic/composer.

Class 2
: Schumann, Frauenliebe und Leben (A Woman’s Life and Love)

We will focus on Schumann’s piano music and German lieder that reflects on Robert Schumann’s love for Clara Schumann.
