Introduction to Google Docs: A two-part workshop
What are Google Docs? Can I use Google Docs instead of Microsoft Word to create, save, and read documents? Guest instructor Deborah Brooks will provide us an introduction to Google Docs in a series of two one-hour classes Monday January 23 11am-12pm and Thursday February 2 11am-12pm, both via Zoom. Participants are expected to attend both classes.
Class 1 January 23 11am-12pm: General introduction to Google Docs. What is it? Why use it? How does it work? Does it work on my device?
Class 2 February 2 11am-12pm: Word processing basics using Google Docs. Google account required. AND ability to open two windows required if you want to do it with me during the class, but it will be recorded so you can do it later too.
If you want to learn more after these two introductory classes, you can sign up for Deborah’s course on Google Drive at Piedmont Adult School.

Deborah Brooks has taught computer skills for older adults for 15 years through Piedmont Adult School and with private students. She is an English professor, not a techie, so she uses easy to understand terms and explains the language of the computer. She works well with dexterity and memory issues. Yes, it is rocket science, and yes, you can do it!
