Description
: Let's see if the lake is full after all the rain!
Very scenic 2 mi hike with options for shorter (1 mi flat) or longer (up to 4 mi) with a climb to Wildcat Peak. Wide trails, easy turnback. We should be able to see birds! Walk leaders may be available to accommodate trail selection and distance/speed abilities. We will discuss our options before we begin.
What to bring:
Good hiking shoes or boots for the trails, layered clothing for variable weather, water, windbreaker, snacks. Hiking poles are optional, but always a good idea for some of us.
Directions
:
From North Berkeley take Spruce St to the top, to junction with Grizzly Peak Blvd. Cross the intersection and bear left, down Canon Drive. At end of Canon drive turn left into the large parking lot for the Tilden Environmental Education Area (Little Farm) where we'll meet.
600 Canon Dr. Berkeley
Transportation:
Members, if you need a ride contact the AV office for a volunteer driver, or invite a guest to bring you and join us.
