The Perennials are an experienced improvisational performing troupe of women in their 60s and 70's.
Their mission is to provide joy, laughter, and person-to-person contact by bringing their shows at no cost to groups of Bay Area elders.
They weave improvised songs, scenes, and rhymes (and a touch of silliness) into light-hearted entertainment for groups of all sizes.
Their shows engage the audience in the games and skits. Audience members are enlisted to suggest topics and ideas or volunteer to join us on stage.
Their members have performed for audiences at residences for elders, assisted living communities, senior centers, and a variety of other venues. They keep their skills sharp by enrolling in the improv classes at Stagebridge, the oldest senior theater school/company in the U.S., in Oakland.
