This shoreline park (just south of the Bay Bridge) is home to a rich variety of resident and wintering migrant bird life.
This month we'll see many kinds of shorebirds, waders, ducks, gulls, terns with our expert guide, Eric Schroeder.
The shoreline path is flat and our distance can be from 1 to 3 mi. Views are open and sweeping -of the Bay, SF, each other, and back to the parking lot - from all points along the walk.
The park also has a rich history which we can explore (on the longer walk option) after the bird walk.
Write back to walks@ashbyvillage.org if you need a ride and describe where you are coming from. Possible pickup at West Oakland BART.
