Human Brain Science-An Introduction

We will take a whirlwind overview of what is being learned about our most amazing organ:  the brain.  New technology and other studies have allowed us to discover many new details about how our brain functions.

Please read this brief but compelling article, written for the lay audience:

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/10-big-ideas-in-10-years-of-brain-science/

There are 10 briefly described ideas in the article; please read at least one or all, if possible.  Since this is from 2014, if you know of other resources, please bring them or the website.

After this brief introduction, we will have a round-table discussion of what we know collectively, and then we will discuss things about the brain that we would like to find out for future discussion.

In the last 15 minutes or so, we will discuss our interests for future topics in this forum.
