Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park
Hosted by Shirley Jowell, join us for a leisurely walk along a paved/boardwalk path with spectacular views of San Francisco and Oakland as we stroll one mile to the Rosie the Riveter Memorial. When we return to the Visitor Education Center we can view a 16-minute documentary about the fascinating history of the city of Richmond and the incredible story of the Kaiser shipyards.
We will meet at the Visitor Education Center at 10am. Please be prepared for cool, windy conditions, as the area is almost always breezy and sometimes foggy. Layers are recommended. Click Here for directions to the Visitor Center.
Optional lunch at the nearby Boilerhouse restaurant.The Boilerhouse restaurant sits adjacent to the Craneway Pavilion and is set against a backdrop of original equipment from the Ford Boiler Room. Patrons enjoy modern American cuisine reinvented.
