Make a change for the better! Learn self-management with the support of a small interactive group.


People who have different conditions often face similar problems - let’s talk to and learn from each other.


6 week seminar was developed over 10 years of research and program development by Stanford. It is being offered for FREE to Ashby Village members. Please note: Participants must commit to the entire seminar.

 

Subjects to be covered include:

1) Techniques to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation

2) Nutrition and appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility, and endurance

3) Appropriate use of medications

4) Communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals

5) Decision-making , and how to evaluate new treatments
