Come and meet Jennifer Keystone, a private fiduciary in San Leandro, who will  explain the range of services fiduciaries provide and roles they can play in their clients’ lives, such as: 
  • Conservator
  • Trustee
  • Estate administrator
  • Daily money manager
  • Power of Attorney for finance &/or healthcare
  • Representative payee
  • Care manager
What do all these titles mean and when might you need someone to serve in one or more of these capacities?
 
Jennifer will answer these questions and provide information about the Fiduciary Code of Ethics, oversight and licensing, how to find qualified fiduciaries, questions to ask when interviewing a private professional fiduciary, and more.
 
Village members are invited to this series of workshops focusing on managing retirement income for seniors. 
 
Lan Shaw, an experienced financial advisor who has been teaching workshops and classes at North Berkeley Senior Center, Emeryville Senior Center, and Emeryville Adult Education for 5  years, and gives a 1 hour presentation covering the options that seniors have to protect their retirement income.  Anyone who would like an individual assessment can request time for a one-on-one session after the workshop.
  
        Lan Shaw has worked for Edward Jones since 2007 as a financial planner
        and retirement consultant. She is a compassionate, giving, hard-working
        professional who believes in treating her clients like family.  Lan enjoys entertaining,
        travel, cooking, hiking, and music.  Her son, Preston inspired her to take
        cello lessons and even become a little league umpire!
