Join Us for a Community-Building Potluck Dinner

Singer Barbara Young

Who: Village Volunteers and Members

Where: Ashby Village Office, 2330 Durant Ave., Berkeley

Why: Sharing and eating good food together has always been a way to build community.

Special guest: Barbara Young, aka "Lady B. Young", singer

Barbara will be sharing her talent and her voice with us singing a few songs from the 40's and 50's that are so familiar to so many of us. Please extend a warm Ashby Village welcome to Lady B. Young!

After retiring, Barbara Young followed a dream and took a new path in life by attending The California Jazz Conservatory School in Berkeley. She has been studying for 5+ years under professional vocal jazz and blues instructors. She will be performing a one-woman show at the Jazz School on Sun., Oct. 4, at 4:30 pm.

Why not take this opportunity to meet up with Villagers from other parts of our area,

and catch up with members and volunteers you haven't seen in a while?

Bring a dish that serves 6-8 people & a bottled beverage to share.
