We return to Jewel Lake and the Nature Center trails to learn about the changes the Winter season brings to the bird populations here. Our guide is master birder and Village member Eric Schroeder.
Where to meet: Meet at 8:00 am in the parking lot of the Environmental Education Center/Little Farm, at the northern end of Tilden Park. Dress warmly, hat and gloves helpful, and bring binoculars if you have them. Hiking poles are optional.
Carpool: Contact Celeste or Eric for possible pickup at North Berkeley BART
Transit: The 67 bus departs downtown Berkeley every half hour and, on the weekends, has a stop right at Tilden's Nature Area/Little Farm.
