Where: Meet in front of the Guitar Center, 5925 Shellmound St, at the Public Market

Open to: All Ashby Village members, volunteers, and their guests

Accessibility: Wheelchair and walker accessible

Description:   This is the first in a series of short walking tours in which we'll find, admire, and learn about Emeryville's many Public Art installations. We'll also discuss the colorful history of Emeryville, along the way. Each walk will cover about one mile in about one hour, and includes stops (at art) and benches on the route.. 
This first walk is in the art-dense neighborhood near Emeryville's Amtrak station

What to bring: Lunch for optional post-walk lunch at the Public Market or you can purchase lunch there. 

Directions: From I-80, go east on Powell St, turn left onto Christie, right onto Shellmound Way, left onto Shellmound St and then right into the Public Market parking lot. Parking is free with a two hour limit. 

Transit: The EmeryGoRound Shellmound/Powell shuttle stops at the Public Market. It departs from Macarthur BART every 15 minutes on the quarter hour.

 
Transportation: Members can request a ride from the AV office (please give advanced notice) or bring a guest who can drive you and join us on the walk.
