Last Concert by the Celeste Solo Ensemble
with Jiwon Evelyn Kwark (violin) and Hyunji Park (piano)
The Violin and Piano Duo Concert will be performed by Jiwon Evelyn Kwark (violin) and Hyunji Park (piano). Both soloists have been performing for Ashby Village since 2021. Jiwon performed in some Zoom concerts, never in-person at Ashby Village, so this will be very meaningful and memorable for everyone.
We hope you will join us for this wonderful program and stay afterwards for a reception in honor of the Celeste Solo Ensemble.
Regretfully, this will be the last concert of the Celeste Soloists for Ashby Village.

Bios of Solists:
Jiwon Evelyn Kwark is an active soloist, chamber and orchestral musician, and teacher based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ms. Kwark holds a Bachelor degree from The Juilliard School, a Master from the Yale School of Music, and a Professional Studies Degree from Manhattan School of Music in the Orchestral Performance Program. Since making her solo debut with the Amabile Orchestra in Korea at the age of 9, Ms. Kwark has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras in the U.S. and Korea. Ms. Kwark has also performed as an orchestra musician with orchestras across the country such as the San Francisco Symphony, New World Symphony, and New Century Chamber Orchestra. Ms. Kwark performs regularly as the acting Principal Second Violinist of the Marin Symphony and violinist of Celeste Solo Ensemble and Ensemble Ari.
Hyunji Park, a native of Seoul, Korea, holds a Graduate Performance Diploma in piano performance from Peabody Conservatory of John Hopkins University in Baltimore. She has over 20 years of professional musical experience as a soloist, collaborative artist, piano instructor and a director of music organizations. As an active pianist, Hyunji has appeared in Seoul, Rome, the Opera House in Sydney, Baltimore-Washington D.C. area, the Herbst Theater in San Francisco and Anchorage, Alaska. As an educator, Hyunji has a thriving studio and her students are on the top lists of the major piano competitions in the Bay Area. Currently, she is artistic director of Celeste Solo Ensemble and co-music director of CHIM Studio.
